These Terms of Service govern your use of the FitPattern iOS application. By downloading, accessing, or using FitPattern, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The FitPattern Service
FitPattern provides tools for creating and organizing sewing pattern projects, fabric profiles, optional measurement profiles, fitting photos, fitting notes, alteration records, structured fit reviews, version comparisons, wearable pattern records, and exportable share cards.
FitPattern does not provide user accounts, cloud synchronization, public posting, social networking, comments, direct messaging, or chat. Local records are associated with the app installation and device storage rather than an online account.
2. Sewing Information and Review Results
FitPattern is not a medical, health, posture, body-assessment, beauty, weight-management, or emergency service. Do not use a review result as medical or safety advice. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to alter, cut, sew, fit, or reuse any pattern or garment.
3. Your Content and Responsibilities
You retain responsibility for photos, notes, measurements, pattern information, and other content you enter or select. You confirm that you have the right and any necessary permission to use that content, including permission from any person shown in a photo.
You agree not to use FitPattern to process or share unlawful content, content that violates another person's rights, or content unrelated to the app's sewing purpose. Face photos and personal measurements are optional. Use the photo-editing, measurement privacy, share-card privacy, and deletion controls as appropriate for your content.
4. External Processing
A fit review requires an internet connection and sends the selected review information and photos to a third-party automated processing service. A version comparison sends selected text from the relevant fitting records. By starting either action, you direct FitPattern to transmit that content for processing and return a structured result.
Automated responses may be incomplete, unavailable, or incorrect. Review the result before applying it to a pattern or garment. Service failures may prevent a review or comparison from being generated.
FitPattern does not display advertisements or offer in-app purchases.
5. AI Usage Limit
FitPattern retrieves the maximum number of successful AI review or comparison results per calendar day from a remote configuration endpoint hosted on Vercel. If the remote value is missing or invalid, the app uses a default limit of 20. The effective limit may change when the remote configuration is updated. Failed requests and invalid responses do not consume a use, and the limit resets automatically on the next calendar day.
6. Billing
FitPattern does not charge for app features and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions.
7. Exporting and Sharing
FitPattern lets you export data, copy share-card text, save images, and use the iOS share sheet. You select the destination and remain responsible for the content you disclose. Privacy controls can hide certain fields or exclude photos, but you must review the final content before sharing. FitPattern is not responsible for handling by a recipient app, service, or person after you share or export content.
8. Local Data and Deletion
FitPattern stores product records and photos locally. You may delete individual items or use "Delete All Product Data" within the app. Deletion is permanent within FitPattern and removes the selected records and photo files referenced by saved fitting records. The current deletion logic does not separately remove an image file referenced only by an unfinished or failed fitting form. Deletion also does not remove copies previously exported, saved to the photo library, or shared.

9. Acceptable Use
You may use FitPattern only in compliance with applicable law and these terms. You may not interfere with the app's operation, misuse external processing, introduce malicious code, or use the app to infringe another person's rights.
10. Intellectual Property
FitPattern, including its interface, software, visual design, and app-provided text, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app. They do not transfer ownership of FitPattern. You retain your rights in the content you create or provide.
11. Availability and Changes
FitPattern may depend on device capabilities, iOS permissions, internet access, Apple's services, and an external processing service. Features may be unavailable because of network conditions, permission settings, service outages, product availability, or device limitations. The app and these terms may be updated to reflect functional, legal, or operational changes.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitPattern is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or a particular sewing or fitting outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of FitPattern will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, materials, purchases, profits, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the app. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.
14. Apple
These terms are between you and the developer of FitPattern, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for operating, maintaining, or supporting FitPattern. Apple may enforce applicable provisions of these terms as a third-party beneficiary where permitted by the App Store terms.
